Amount of CE Credit Offered: 3 Ethics credits for both ASWB ACE and NBCC.

Course Description: This training explores the emotional and professional transitions clinicians often face when leaving agency work, including the hidden grief, identity shifts, and trauma bonds that can develop in high-stress environments. Participants will examine how to honor past workplace relationships while releasing guilt, strengthening boundaries, and navigating compassion fatigue. Emphasis will be placed on developing sustainable support networks and fostering a grounded sense of professional identity in private practice or other next steps.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify emotional and relational dynamics, including trauma bonding and grief, that may surface during the transition from agency work to private practice.
- Describe ethical considerations related to boundaries, client transitions, and ongoing relationships with former coworkers or supervisors.
- Apply reflective and self-compassionate tools to address guilt, loss, and imposter syndrome during the transition.
