Mental Health of First Responders
Course Description
Learn how to recognize, manage, and support First Responders facing mental health challenges including burnout and post-event trauma. This course covers crisis signs, stress management, and available resources to promote resilience.
Learning Method: Recorded asynchronous distance (non-interactive). This course includes a recorded video and access to the presented resources.
Amount of CE Credit Offered: 1 General CE Credit. ASWB ACE and NBCC.
Fees: This course can be purchased individually for $25.00 or as part of an annual unlimited continuing education subscription available for $75/year.
Posttest: Following the course, the participant will take a 10 question posttest. A score of 70% correct is required to pass and obtain a certificate. If you do not pass the posttest, it can be re-taken after fully reviewing the materials again.
Certificate of Completion: In order to receive a certificate of completion, you must indicate that you've watched the entire video portion of the course, earn a passing grade on the test, and complete the requested course evaluation.

Tiffany Works
Tiffany Works is a Licensed Master of Social Work. She earned her BA from the University of Alabama, a MS in Counseling from Jacksonville State University, and a MSW from Jacksonville State University. Tiffany has been practicing Social Work since 1996. She currently serves at the Community Outreach Coordinator for an inpatient psychiatric unit at a hospital in her community. She serves on several non-profit boards in her community and is a Reserve Deputy/Chaplain with her local county Sheriff’s Office. Tiffany is also a certified women’s self defense instructor. She is passionate about providing mental health education. Tiffany serves as the primary planner for an annual mental health conference in her community. Tiffany has a daughter, a son in law, and 2 grand pups. Tiffany also has 2 goats, Waylon and Willie; and a cat, Asher. In her spare time & for self-care, she enjoys working in her garden and reviving plants in need of rescue.
