Course Description
Technology and AI are rapidly reshaping how children and adolescents learn, connect, cope, and develop. In this live CE event, Dr. Meagan Mitchell will explore the benefits, risks, and emerging challenges of growing up digital, with practical considerations for supporting youth and families in an increasingly technology-driven world.
Learning Objectives
- Identify key ways technology and AI can influence the emotional, social, and developmental well-being of children and adolescents.
- Evaluate potential benefits and risks of digital technology use, including social media, online interactions, and emerging AI tools.
- Apply practical, developmentally appropriate strategies to help youth and families build healthier and more intentional relationships with technology.
Learning Method: Synchronous distance (interactive)
Amount of CE Credit Offered: 2 Live Ethics CE Credit. ASWB ACE and NBCC.
Fees: This course can be purchased individually for $79.00 or as part of an annual unlimited continuing education subscription available for $99/year.
Posttest: No posttest is required as this is a live CE event.
Certificate of Completion: A certificate will be issued at the end of the live event to all attendees who attended at least 80% of the live event.

Agents of Change, #1919, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 7/26/2023 – 7/26/2027. Social workers completing this course receive 2 Live Ethics CE Credit.

Meagan Mitchell
Dr. Meagan Mitchell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been providing individualized and group test prep for the ASWB for over 10 years. From all of this experience helping others pass their exams, she has created a course to help you prepare for and pass the ASWB exam! She loves combining her passion for learning and sharing her knowledge with the social work community. Meagan has a strong interest in tech & and innovation, specifically exploring the intersection of technology with social work practices. She is also passionate about multicultural supervision and ethics; ensuring diverse voices are heard, understood, and supported in supervision and consultation. Meagan is skilled in early childhood education, conflict resolution, interventions, and management. She is a strong community and social services professional with a Masters of Social Work focused in Interpersonal Practice with Children, Youth, and Families in Society from the University of Michigan School of Social Work. She also has a Masters in Education and obtained her Doctor of Social Work from the University of Buffalo.
