Course Description
Explore how fostering human connection can prevent depression and improve mental and physical well-being across diverse populations. Teens, Macro.
Learning Method: Recorded asynchronous distance (non-interactive). This course includes a recorded video and access to the presented resources.
Amount of CE Credit Offered: 1 General CE Credit. ASWB ACE and NBCC.
Fees: This course can be purchased individually for $25.00 or as part of an annual unlimited continuing education subscription available for $75/year.
Posttest: Following the course, the participant will take a 10 question posttest. A score of 70% correct is required to pass and obtain a certificate. If you do not pass the posttest, it can be re-taken after fully reviewing the materials again.
Certificate of Completion: In order to receive a certificate of completion, you must indicate that you've watched the entire video portion of the course, earn a passing grade on the test, and complete the requested course evaluation.

Jessica Gifford
Jessica Gifford, LICSW, is a mental health expert, speaker, and the Founder and Chief Connection Officer of ProjectConnect. With over two decades of experience in mental health promotion and community-building, she has dedicated her career to helping individuals and organizations strengthen human connection as a powerful antidote to loneliness and depression. Before founding ProjectConnect, Jessica served as Associate Director of Mental Health Promotion at Amherst College and directed the Wellness Center at Hampshire College. Her work has consistently focused on large-scale mental health interventions, social support strategies, and resilience-building. Through ProjectConnect, she has trained over 500 facilitators and partnered with nearly 100 organizations across sectors to create meaningful, science-backed connection experiences. Jessica’s mission is to turn “connection deserts” into thriving communities where friendships flourish and well-being improves.
