Suicidal Ideation and Self-Injurious Behaviors: Providing Responsive Treatment

Course Description

Learn to assess, respond to, and support youth with suicidal ideation or self-harm using evidence-based, trauma-informed techniques. Suicide, Teens, Clinical.

Learning Method: Recorded asynchronous distance (non-interactive). This course includes a recorded video and access to the presented resources.

Amount of CE Credit Offered: 2 General CE Credit. ASWB ACE and NBCC.

Fees: This course can be purchased individually for $25.00 or as part of an annual unlimited continuing education subscription available for $75/year.

Posttest: Following the course, the participant will take a 20 question posttest. A score of 70% correct is required to pass and obtain a certificate. If you do not pass the posttest, it can be re-taken after fully reviewing the materials again.

Certificate of Completion: In order to receive a certificate of completion, you must indicate that you've watched the entire video portion of the course, earn a passing grade on the test, and complete the requested course evaluation.

Jaimee Arnoff

Jaimee Arnoff

Jaimee is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience with both assessment and therapy with a focus on high-risk children and adolescents with internalizing disorders in multiple hospital-based settings, community-based outpatient mental health clinics, and residential treatment centers. With a certification in Pain Reprocessing Therapy, she has expanded her private practice to also include clients with chronic pain. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Deaf Studies and her Ph.D. from Gallaudet University, Jaimee is fluent in American Sign Language and has experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing children and their families, as well. As the psychologist at James’s Warr;ors, a local not-for-profit organization, she has developed and delivered presentations on Teen Mental Health and Suicide Prevention in high schools and colleges throughout New York. Jaimee enjoys teaching and providing clinical supervision and hopes to continue mentoring other young psychologists like herself in her community and beyond!
