The Art of Group Therapy with Kids
Course Description
Practical insights into effectively facilitating group therapy for children. Key strategies for group formation, managing dynamics, leveraging virtual tools, and building therapeutic relationships, with a focus on school settings and diverse groups.
Learning Method: Recorded asynchronous distance (non-interactive). This course includes a recorded video and access to the presented resources.
Amount of CE Credit Offered: 1 General CE Credit. ASWB ACE and NBCC.
Fees: This course can be purchased individually for $25.00 or as part of an annual unlimited continuing education subscription available for $75/year.
Posttest: Following the course, the participant will take a 10 question posttest. A score of 70% correct is required to pass and obtain a certificate. If you do not pass the posttest, it can be re-taken after fully reviewing the materials again.
Certificate of Completion: In order to receive a certificate of completion, you must indicate that you've watched the entire video portion of the course, earn a passing grade on the test, and complete the requested course evaluation.
Content Level:
Both beginning and intermediate-level content are included in this course.

Mariah Peloso
Mariah graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with her bachelors and masters in social work. She holds a PEL – School Social Work License and LCSW in Illinois. Her experiences have been in special and general education, private practice, research, public speaking and grant funded projects. Mariah currently works in a school setting in the DFW area and runs a private practice virtually serving Illinois clients and pre-licensed social workers for clinical supervision. She is passionate about supporting school personnel with implementing accommodations with cultural competence in order to provide equal access to curriculum, as well as helping others get in touch with their power and feeling like themselves again.
