Course Description: This 3-hour live CEU training provides a comprehensive overview of body image, its multidimensional nature, and the diverse populations affected across the lifespan. Through therapist and dietitian perspectives, we will explore current research, relevant statistics, case studies, and evidence-based CBT approaches for repairing one’s relationship with their body. Attendees will gain practical, integrative strategies they can immediately apply in clinical and nutrition-focused settings.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify key components of body image, recognize populations most affected, and interpret current statistics to inform assessment and treatment planning.
  2. Apply core CBT concepts to include thought restructuring, behavioral experiments, and exposure work, to help clients develop a more flexible and compassionate relationship with their bodies.
  3. Integrate therapist-informed and dietitian-informed CBT interventions when addressing body image concerns, utilizing case examples to guide interdisciplinary, client-centered care.
