The training offers brief, practical strategies for pacing, re-engagement, and restoring therapeutic momentum.
Learning Objectives:
- Differentiate avoidance, shutdown, and treatment resistance based on observable clinical markers and client presentation.
- Recognize and assess signs of dissociation, ambivalence, and nervous system shutdown without pathologizing the client.
- Implement brief, evidence-informed strategies for pacing, re-engagement, and restoring therapeutic momentum when clients appear stuck.
