Keeping up with continuing education requirements can feel like one more administrative responsibility piled onto an already full workload. Social Workers, Therapists, Counselors, and other Mental Health Professionals often have to track total CE hours, required specialty topics, live or interactive credits, renewal deadlines, and certificates across multiple years. Add in changing state requirements or multiple professional licenses, and it becomes surprisingly easy to lose track of what has been completed and what is still needed.

The Agents of Change CE Tracker for Social Workers, Therapists, and Counselors makes that process much easier. Instead of searching through emails, old certificates, spreadsheets, and licensing board websites every time renewal approaches, the CE tracker gives you one place to organize your progress and plan ahead. The Agents of Change CE Tracker helps professionals review state and license-specific requirements, monitor completed credits, calculate remaining hours, and create a realistic plan for finishing CE requirements before renewal.

For professionals looking for an even simpler way to manage continuing education, the tracker automatically syncs with courses completed through an Agents of Change Continuing Education subscription. For $99 per year, subscribers receive access to a growing library of more than 200 ASWB and NBCC-approved CE courses, plus more than 20 live continuing education events each year. Together, the tracker and course library can help turn license renewal from a last-minute scramble into a much more organized and manageable part of professional practice.

Did you know? Agents of Change Continuing Education offers Unlimited Access to 200+ ASWB and NBCC-approved online CE courses and 20+ Live Events per year for one low annual fee to meet your state’s requirements for Continuing Education credits and level up your career.

1) Why Continuing Education Tracking Can Get So Complicated

At first, tracking continuing education sounds simple. Complete a course, save the certificate, and move on. In reality, Social Workers, Therapists, Counselors, and other Mental Health Professionals often have to manage several different requirements at the same time, which can make the process much more complicated than expected.

Requirements Vary by State and License Type

Continuing education rules are not universal. Each state licensing board sets its own requirements, and those rules may differ across license types within the same state.

A Social Worker, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, and Psychologist may all have different renewal expectations. Requirements can also vary based on license level, years in practice, or whether someone provides clinical supervision.

Total CE Hours Are Only Part of the Picture

Knowing the total number of required hours is important, but it is rarely the whole story. Many boards also require specific topics, such as:

  • Ethics
  • Suicide prevention
  • Cultural competency
  • Implicit bias
  • Human trafficking
  • Mandatory reporting
  • Pain management
  • Telehealth
  • Clinical supervision

You could technically complete enough total CE hours and still fall short if you missed one required category.

Live and On-Demand Rules Can Differ

Some licensing boards place limits on how many credits can be earned through self-paced or asynchronous courses. Others require a certain number of live, synchronous, or interactive hours.

That means professionals need to track more than course titles and credit totals. You may also need to know exactly how each course was delivered.

Renewal Cycles Are Easy to Lose Track Of

Many licenses renew every one, two, or three years. With such a long window, it is easy to assume there is plenty of time.

Then suddenly, renewal is only a few weeks away.

Without a clear tracking system, professionals may end up rushing to complete several courses at once or struggling to remember which credits were earned during the current renewal period.

Certificates End Up Everywhere

CE documentation can quickly become scattered across email inboxes, downloads folders, learning platforms, employer portals, and cloud storage.

When renewal time arrives, finding every certificate can become almost as stressful as completing the courses themselves.

A reliable CE tracker, like the one from Agents of Change, helps bring these moving pieces together. By tracking requirements, completed credits, specialty topics, course formats, and deadlines in one place, professionals can spend less time figuring out what they still need and more time choosing continuing education that actually supports their practice.

3) Pairing the Free Tracker With an Agents of Change CE Subscription

The CE Tracker becomes even more useful when paired with an Agents of Change Continuing Education subscription. Instead of tracking your courses in one place, your live events somewhere else, and your license requirements in another system, Agents of Change brings everything together.

Your Agents of Change CE Credits Are Added Automatically

When you complete an eligible course through Agents of Change, your CE Tracker automatically updates with the course and credits you earned. There’s no need to manually enter every Agents of Change course, calculate your new total, or update a separate spreadsheet.

The same applies to live continuing education events you attend through Agents of Change. Once completed, those credits can automatically become part of your CE tracking record, helping you see how your on-demand and live learning contribute toward your overall renewal plan.

See What You Need and Find Courses to Match

Your tracker doesn’t just show how many hours you have left. It can help you identify remaining requirements and connect you with relevant Agents of Change courses that may help you complete them.

That creates a simple process:

  1. Check your personalized CE requirements.
  2. See which credits or specialty topics you still need.
  3. Find relevant courses or upcoming live events.
  4. Complete the training through Agents of Change.
  5. Watch your Agents of Change credits automatically update in your tracker.

No juggling multiple spreadsheets. No trying to remember which courses you completed six months ago. No manually adding every Agents of Change training after you finish it.

One Subscription, 200+ Courses, and 20+ Live Events

For only $99 per year, an Agents of Change CE Subscription gives Mental Health Professionals access to a growing library of more than 200 ASWB and NBCC-approved continuing education courses, along with 20+ live CE events every year.

Paired with the CE Tracker, the subscription makes it incredibly simple to move from figuring out what you need to completing your requirements and keeping track of your progress along the way.
