Termination on the ASWB Exam
On any level of the ASWB exam, you will see termination questions or termination issues. We’ll review the section of the Code of Ethics that includes termination and end with a practice question.
What is the Termination?
Termination is the closing of the therapeutic relationship. Ideally, this occurs once the client and therapist agree that the treatment goals have been met and services are no longer needed.
But, termination can also occur as a result of life events and a client can terminate at any time.
Termination is also often processed differently by different clients. Some clients may have joy and pride while others may have fear and anxiety.
