Clear Explanations That Made Learning Stick and Apply
Listening to Meagan break down the study material really helped to make the information stick for me, not just to memorize the content, but to learn and apply it.

Listening to Meagan break down the study material really helped to make the information stick for me, not just to memorize the content, but to learn and apply it.

On 7/15/25, I took the clinical licensure exam in New York State. The exam was scheduled for 4 hours. I completed it in 3 hours. And with the help of God’s grace and Agents of Change test prep, I passed the exam. It was my first time taking it.
I really LOVED Agents of Change. I initially was studying with another program (Pocket Prep), which did not help me feel prepared. I found the questions completely unlike anything that the exam would ask. I was highly frustrated with the prep and wasn’t going to take this exam. I actually intended to not show up for this text and instead study until the fall by taking an in person exam prep through NASW. However, one of my team members encouraged me to take it. She is now using Agent of Change to prepare for the LMSW exam. Following a conversation she and I had, she shared with me Agents of Change. I immediately feel in love with the program. I found the interactive sessions, the breakdown of the questions, the process of elimination technique, the 5 W’s, and the neumonic device “Eat Pie Today” to be the most helpful. Despite the differences the LMSW and LCSW exams, both mostly test one’s knowledge of the generalist model (helping process) through the fact pattern the test provides; many what would you do first, next, last questions.
Agents of Change helped me greatly with the questions on ethics and Human Behavior. On the practice tests I had been taking through and outside of Agents of Change, I was doing quite poorly on these sections. I really immersed myself in these sections when Agents of Change got to them in the prep course.
I am recommending this program to anyone who needs to prepare for either the general licensure exam or the clinical. Megan Mitchell was awesome. I am so grateful to have purchase it. I am going to keep using it just to keep abreast on the knowledge of the content it examines.
Thank you greatly for having created one of the best prep tools I had the pleasure to use.

What was most helpful for me about Agents of Change was the breakdown of the content areas. It clearly illustrated which topics I had a strong understanding of and highlighted the areas where I needed to focus and improve. This structure helped guide my studying more effectively and allowed me to target my efforts where they were needed most.

The facilitator spoke clearly no jargon and broke down the questions and rationales. She made it simple: EAT A PIE TODAY I was able to retain this on the exam it was on point. The facilitator was live and you can see her face to face. I like her approach regarding test week and test day. How to process if you failed the exam. Self care tips were amazing. The advice she gave in regards to content vs. practice. “Practice, practice, practice.” I listened to Meagan for months and weeks up to my exam.

The Agents of Change podcasts were very helpful. I would listen to it on my way to work, heading home, or while cooking/cleaning. The way you break down the info was very helpful and allowed me to answer the questions better. I also took advantage of the free practice questions sent via email and the rationale. Having a platform that helps break down all these complex terms and theories, helped tremendously in how I viewed the exam and also made me feel more confident!

This as my 5th attempt at taking the ASWB exam! I wish I had switched to the Agents of Change study material sooner because I passed with a score of 117/170 on my 5th attempt! My previous attempts were always 90/170. Before diving into the content, Agents of Change provided a website to find out your study style. That little test probably saved me from studying the wrong way! I always thought I was an auditory learner. I’m actually a visual learner and auditory learner. This is why Agents of Change REALLY worked for me because of the amazing PowerPoints and documents that Meagan provided voiceovers for. What really helped me were the lectures and the very detailed breakdown of the rationales on the practice questions and practice test. I also love the passion and enthusiasm that Meagan has for the material she is teaching because the content really stuck for me.

The materials and content provided in the Agents of Change curriculum were presented in a straightforward manner, making it easy for me to understand and adapt to my learning style. This allowed me to break down the questions effectively and select the best answers. I also appreciated the flexibility of being able to study at my own pace. The curriculum clearly displayed my progress, which served as a great motivator as I eagerly counted down the days until my test.

The things that helped me the most from Agents of Change were the breaking of the NEXT, MOST, LEAST, questions. Learning what each of them meant helped me understand what the question was asking. I even wrote the KEY down on my whiteboard for the exam, and it helped while I was taking it!!
I also found it helpful the way we went over the content. A lot of it I already knew, but having someone teach it to me essentially was so helpful; it felt like I was in class again instead of doing it on my own.

The visual powerpoints were probably the most helpful me, all the way from her Meagan working through each topic to walking through the practice questions. I also really enjoyed how the topics were divided on this program. It helps to keep you focused on one area at a time!

I enjoyed accessing the visual and audio exam prep, which allowed me to review content on the go. I also learned how to break down the questions, which was helpful on exam day! The Agents of Change program was worth the money because it gave me access to flashcards, exam content, practice and recorded study sessions. Thank you so much, AOC!
