How to Use These Cheat Sheets

  1. Start with your exam level. The Bachelors, Masters or Clinical cheat sheet gives you the exam format, content areas and question strategy for your test.
  2. Take a practice exam as a diagnostic. Your results show which content areas need the most work.
  3. Grab the topic cheat sheets for your weakest areas. Use them alongside your main prep course, not instead of it.
  4. Do the practice questions, and read every rationale. Even the ones you get right.
  5. Print them or save them to your phone for quick review in spare moments and in the final week before your exam.

FAQs: Free ASWB Exam Cheat Sheets

Q: Are these cheat sheets really free?

A: Yes. Enter your name and email, and we’ll send the PDF to your inbox. There’s no cost and no credit card required.

Q: Are the cheat sheets updated for the new ASWB exam?

A: Yes. Every cheat sheet reflects the new exam that launched in August 2026, including the 122-question format and the three content areas: Values & Ethics, Assessment & Planning, and Intervention & Practice.

Q: Which cheat sheet should I start with?

A: Start with the cheat sheet for your exam level (Bachelors, Masters or Clinical). Then add topic cheat sheets for the areas where you need the most practice.

Q: Can I use a cheat sheet during the ASWB exam?

A: No. The ASWB exam is closed-book, so you can’t bring notes or materials into the test. These cheat sheets are study tools for review before exam day.

Q: Are cheat sheets enough to pass the ASWB exam?

A: They’re a great review tool, but most people need more practice than a cheat sheet can provide. Pair them with a full prep course, practice questions and at least one full-length practice exam.
